In this country, we look highly upon individuals that are self-sufficient and independent… not needing anyone. We put them on a pedestal as being powerful and in control of their lives. We tend to view God as an entity beyond our ability to comprehend and imagine. In mathematics there is a number that is a beyond our ability to comprehend and imagine called infinity. The phrase God is infinite has been frequently used in various literature. Interestingly, that phase is not to be found anywhere in the Bible. Is infinite a reasonable characterization of God?
