Why Would a Loving God Allow Bad Things to Happen to Good People?

One of the most-asked question coming from doubters of Christianity is “why would a supposedly loving God allow bad things to happen to good people”? I personally have wrestled with this question myself and have generally been dissatisfied by the answers I’ve heard from others. In this month’s Life, God, and the Universe entitled Why Would a Loving God Allow Bad Things to Happen to Good People?, we explore the common responses given by Christian leaders and explore an alternative explanation.

    Enjoyed the post.
Indeed it seems that situations present oppurtunities to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit.

In Christ I believe we are to experience being conquerors in Him and not complainers; I remind myself of this regularily. I’m not sure where my own whining fits into the Blessed are statements; it doesn’t.

Some of our own bad things are not so bad compared to others still they are oppurtunities to Love and Live well. So if we are missing something- pray for more bad things so we can reap greater rewards. I better get the yoke on first and finish our Fathers and my efforts of faith with what’s on my plate – it is sufficient.
