Forgiveness

In the journey of life, we will all experience hurt caused by others. How do we forgive those who hurt us? And when someone repeatedly hurts us, how many times should we forgive that person? In Matt 18:21 of the Bible, we read Peter asking Jesus that very question. “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”. In Matt 18:22, we hear Jesus’ response “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times”.  In essence, Jesus was saying we should NEVER stop forgiving.  But what does it actually mean to “forgive”?
